Tan Lye Poh
Managing Director (Operations)

Lye Poh currently helms the Operations Division in IPPFA and manages a key group of IFFPA’s overseas institutional clients, with a total asset size of over $1 billion at any one point of time. He is also a member of IPPFA’s Investment Committee, responsible for the oversight of economic and investment research.

With over 17 years of industry experience, covering all financial planning services for retail, high net worth individuals and institutions, Lye Poh has dedicated his career to the financial planning sector. His journey began when, after a consultancy role at the Productivity & Quality Research Centre of NUS, he joined IPP Capital Advisory Pte Ltd in 2000. In 2003, he joined a pioneering multi-insurer company, before re-joining the IPP ‘family’ in 2007. With his excellent work and sound expertise, he quickly rose through the ranks. Prior to his present position, Lye Poh oversaw the Investment operations and was the Director of Wealth & Corporate Management on IPPFA’s senior management board.

A keen advocate for the advancement of the sector, Lye Poh participates regularly in industry events and consults with industry regulators. He serves as a Committee Member in the Executive Committee of the Association of Financial Advisers (Singapore) and is currently a Fellow at the Financial Services Institute (FFSI) and Life Management Institute (FLMI). Thanks to his vast expertise, Lye Poh is often the go-to expert for a media soundbite, occasionally being quoted on the Straits Times and Channel NewsAsia.

Lye Poh holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with 2nd Upper Honours from the National University of Singapore. He is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Recently, he was conferred the designation of IBF Advanced (“IBFA”) for Financial Planning by The Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore and also completed the ICA Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliances awarded by International Compliance Association.
